Questions, answered
What does Outrank Competitors do?
It shows you the Google searches a competitor wins and turns them into campaigns for you. Enter their page, see the searches it ranks and advertises for with monthly searches and click prices, read their current ads, pick the searches that fit your product, and Claude builds Google Ads campaigns you can import.
Can I see the exact keywords a competitor bids on?
Nobody outside Google can see another advertiser’s keyword list. What you can see is their ads: Google publishes them in its Ads Transparency Center. Outrank Competitors loads those ads, Claude reads each one and lists which of the competitor’s searches it clearly targets.
Should I enter a product page or the whole shop?
Usually the product page that competes with yours: it ranks for the searches buyers use for that product. A homepage on its own mostly ranks for the shop’s name, so for a homepage all pages of the shop are analysed (their top 300 searches).
Do I need a Google Ads account?
Only to run the campaigns. You download them as a file for Google Ads Editor, or as a keyword list for a campaign you already have, and import them into your account. In the Google Ads Editor file everything is paused, so nothing is spent until you switch it on.
Will my ads mention the competitor?
No. Searches for their brand are off by default, and the ads Claude writes never name the competitor. They only use what’s on your page and what you write about your product.
Which countries does it cover?
The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, in their local languages. Money is shown in the market’s currency.
How accurate are the numbers?
Search volumes are monthly averages, CPC is what advertisers paid per click on average, and the auction range is Google’s estimate of a top-of-page bid. Treat them as a solid guide, not a promise. Rankings come from a large database of Google results; for very small shops and markets it can miss searches, which is why their brand searches are added from Google’s own data.
What does it cost?
Creating an account is free and comes with 2 credits, no card needed. After that you top up credits when you need them. There’s no subscription and credits never expire.
